Wednesday Apr 29, 2020
Welcome back to the Audience Please! Podcast and to EP014. Apologies for the mini break, but due to tours being cancelled and pushed back so have some of the interviews that were planned.
On that note please check out Music Venue Trust’s initiative #saveourvenues over at https://saveourvenues.co.uk where they are looking for national support to help save over 500 grassroots venues from closure. If you are running any online gigs or fundraising for venues as part of this scheme make sure you head over and get your event listed on the website.
Back to the podcast…
…I was very happy to have Dev from IDLES on the podcast to chat around their Ally Pally show, album 3 and getting wrecked at festivals when your are young and clueless. He was a delight to have on.
This week they have also been streaming their gig at The Bataclan over on YouTube alongside Q&As with all the band members so make sure you head over there and check that out.

Anyone guessed what song lyric the podcast lifted its name from? Yes, you got it right, gold star, it’s ‘Manchasm’ by Future of the Left.
To have Andrew “Falco” Falkous on the podcast was an absolute honour and a pleasure. Fresh off mclusky*’s tour in Australasia we talked around what makes a live show, cheese & Elvis Costello.
If you’re lucky to have a ticket to one of mclusky* sold out shows next month, enjoy! If not keep a look out for more dates.
